Welcome!

October 11th, 2025

Just a few quick notes, as many of you have heard CUPW has moved to rotating strikes. We can now accept mail, and some mail will be coming in. Delivery standards however are not guaranteed. Make sure you check your RPOS emails daily for any updates from your LAS.

A message from National:

CPAA is aware that in some regions, representatives have recently visited CPAA-operated post offices and spoken with our members about potential changes at Canada Post. We understand that this has caused concern and confusion in some communities.

We want to assure members that no decisions have been made about local post offices, and CPAA continues to actively engage with both Canada Post management and the federal government to ensure the voices of rural, remote, and Northern postal workers are heard as future plans are developed.

CPAA has escalated these reports through the appropriate channels, including with local and national representatives at Canada Post, and has reached out to our union partners to help clarify communication at the local level.

Our focus remains on the same priorities we have consistently shared with members, government, and the public:

  • Protecting service in rural, remote, and Northern communities
  • Safeguarding the jobs of postmasters and assistants
  • Ensuring meaningful consultation before any service changes or closures are considered

We recognize that this period of uncertainty is difficult. CPAA will continue to provide accurate information as soon as it becomes available and to advocate for fair, transparent decision-making that protects both postal workers and the communities they serve.

We thank all members for their continued professionalism and commitment to serving Canadians every day.
