Hello, my name is Yolanda Kreitzer, and I am proud to call rural Saskatchewan home.

I live in Raymore. Darren and I together have raised five children and are blessed with eleven grandchildren. Our family operates a farm, and the values of hard work, community, and service have always been central to our lives.

I began my career with Canada Post in 1998 as a term employee. In 2008, I was appointed Postmaster of the Punnichy Post Office, a position I continue to hold today.

My involvement in leadership began in 2012 when I joined the Saskatchewan Branch Board. In 2015, I was elected Vice President, and since 2017, I have had the privilege of serving as President.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to supporting postal workers, advocating for rural communities, and helping strengthen the services that connect Canadians. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to serve and look forward to continuing that work.

I was selected early on to attend the ‘Just For You’ union training that CPAA provides and I knew I was hooked. I found the training so informative and it ignited my passion to get involved with CPAA. I waited for my kids to get a little bit older and then in 2019, I attended the Annual Convention and put my name forward to be a director. I served as a director for 2 yrs, then in 2021, I became the Vice President.

I am a proud mother to two children, my daughter is still in high school and my son is enrolled in the Bachelor of Computer Science program at Dalhousie University. In any extra time after work and family, I enjoy golfing, gardening, crafting, camping, fishing and reading.

Greetings!!! I am very pleased to introduce myself as your Secretary-Treasurer of the Saskatchewan Branch of CPAA. Officially, I began my career with Canada Post as a Term Employee in 1993 in my hometown of Hawarden, SK. I served in that role under the direction of that Postmaster, my late mom, Lillian Christensen. I continued to work for Canada Post while pursuing my education at the University of Saskatchewan, where I earned a Master of Education degree in Educational Psychology and Special Education.

Following several years of teaching as a Sessional Lecturer, I became Postmaster in Hawarden in July 2010, and then Postmaster in Davidson in January 2015. Since May 2019, I have proudly served as the Secretary-Treasurer of our Saskatchewan Branch, collaborating with board members and engaging with our community.

I enjoy my role very much, especially as I have had the opportunity to meet many of our members either in person or through phone or email conversations. I look forward to meeting more of you in the future as we continue to learn and work together through the CPAA!

While serving as a Senior Assistant, I had the opportunity to join the Saskatchewan Branch board as a director in 2017. This experience has allowed me to learn extensively about our collective agreement and engage with fellow board members. I've also traveled to various parts of the province to connect with our members.

When I'm not at work, I'm at home with my cat, Princess, enjoying TV, reading, or crocheting. Additionally, I'm a big Riders fan and am slowly getting into watching the Blue Jays, too! I have 3 adult children, 1 son-in-law, and several furbaby grandkids!

In 2023, I joined the CPAA Saskatchewan Branch as a director, where I enjoy supporting fellow board members and contributing to our organization.

Outside of work, life is busy and rewarding. You’ll usually find me on the road taking kids to sports or 4-H events, or spending time outdoors. Summers are filled with camping trips with my family and helping out on the farm - whether that’s working with the cows or lending a hand in the field.
